6th Geographical Information Systems Congress Held

The 6th Geographical Information Systems Congress organized by TMMOB under the leadership of Chamber of Surveying and Cadastre Engineers was held in Ankara on November 23-24-25 with the theme of “Smart” City and “Smart” Countryside and with the slogan of “Cognitive Freedom”.
In the organization attended by many public institutions / organizations and private sector representatives, the studies conducted especially in the field of geographic information systems were extensively shared with the participants. In the congress, it was observed that GIS was used effectively and efficiently in many public institutions, and that the developing technology and spatial applications became widespread, facilitating work and processes and giving a different dimension to the processes. In addition, some public institutions / organizations and private sector representatives made presentations and informations about new technologies and software in the Geographical Information Technologies Fair held within the scope of the congress.
