Digitalization has begun to change the basic construction of our physical world. New technologies are changing how we plan, design, build and even protect our environment. Companies are now looking at 3D printing and robotics as living technologies that will have a beneficial impact in the near future – but why is 3D so important?
It is widely used to create, use and manage digital information during a construction project and will eventually be used at every stage of its life cycle.
The main success of BIM (Building Informaiton Modeling) is based on the principle of creating an environment for better sharing of digital data, collaborative environments for people to operate. Modern architects and engineers often develop a comprehensive 3D digital prototype to better understand the design possibilities and limitations. . Contractors use 3D digital models to create 3D, 4D, and potentially 5D plans in connection with their subcontractors’ budgets and schedules, but does this fulfill the full potential of digitization?
Given the low profit margins in the construction industries, stakeholders of different construction disciplines should always be open to improvement; This allows them to do things faster, better and more reliably to make more profits. The same stakeholders rely on accurate and timely information to conduct their business effectively, and that is what BIM and the digital structure aim to develop.

A common misunderstanding is that digital structuring can only be felt at design stages. Unfortunately, this perception has limited the degree to which all parties engage in digital technology. Many companies approach this phenomenon and say, “These are not yet for us”. But something they don’t know is that this digital transformation will be more costly as time goes on. Digital construction applications and tools can help everyone at all stages of construction to perform their jobs more efficiently and are based on a combination of people, processes and technology, with all kinds of changes. Improvements in collaboration mean that work is completed more efficiently; this increases productivity and ultimately leads to greater profitability. Therefore, digital construction is important for everyone involved in the project.
