In order to raise awareness about Geographical Information Systems, “World GIS Day” celebrated all over the world in November this year, hosted by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization under the coordination of the General Directorate of Geographical Information Systems, was held on 30 November-1 December 2017 in Ankara Congresium ATO International Congress. and the Exhibition Palace.
The main subject of the event is “Smart Cities, which is the Living Space of the Information Society” and will be held during the two-day event. International legislation, standards and good practice examples on sustainability and livable cities, smart cities and governance will be shared. Specialists from public institutions, local administrations, private sector, universities and research institutions and non-governmental organizations will be invited to the 2017 World GIS Day which will include panel, booth areas and various side events. As part of the World GIS Day, you can keep abreast of the latest developments through valuable speakers and sessions.
