ESRI Turkey , ESRI User Conference (San Diego, California) will also represent Turkey is looking for the Young Scholar. We know many of you are wondering what the Young Scholars Contest is. Details are in the rest of the article.

Young Scholars Competition, Esri Inc. With the support is held all over the world. Students preparing projects with Esri products around the world share their projects with Esri Distributors. Winning Young Scholars have the opportunity to represent their countries by exhibiting their projects at the Esri User Conference MapGallery. In this process, ESRI meets the person’s travel and accommodation costs winners Turkey. The finalist has the opportunity to share his project with nearly 20,000 Geographic Information Systems Specialists.

So how can you participate in the Young Scholars Competition?

First, you need to read the conditions of participation in Turkey ESRI website. You can apply if conditions are right for you. When applying, you need to describe your project in detail. The more detailed the form, the higher your chances of staying in the final. During the application process, you should prepare a poster describing your project. The jury will examine the posters in detail. You must wait after applying. In this process, all applications will be examined in detail and the projects to be in the top 10 will be determined. The first 10 projects will be invited to Ankara office. After all the finalists have explained their project, the jury will conduct a detailed examination and select the finalist. The selected finalists, Esri and Esri will be published on the website of Turkey Turkey social media accounts.

What kind of projects can be applied?

There is no restriction in the Young Scholars Competition. You can apply from any faculty or department. It is enough to include Esri software in your project. You can apply with the projects you have prepared at the school or with individual projects.

Event Calendar is as follows.

March 18, 2019: Applications for the competition will end.

26 March 2019: Project owners who are in the top 10 will be contacted.

6 April 2019: Final projects will be presented.

9 April 2019: The finalist will be announced.

6 – 12 July 2019: Esri User Conference will be held.

2018 Young Scholar Kürşat Aksoy participated in the competition from Eskişehir Anadolu University. He was selected as a finalist with the Yeşil Creating Green Areas and Green Infrastructure System Esk Project in Eskişehir and had a great experience in America.
