Who is Gexcel?

Gexcel started its business in 2007 with the aim to transform geomatics scientific achievements into high-tech products and services for wide application areas. The first technology transfer agreement between the European Commission Joint Research Centre (EC-JRC) and Gexcel started in 2007 with Reconstructor® to introduce on the market the LiDAR technology for the international nuclear plant monitoring. The valuable collaboration with the EC-JRC is now continuing with the technology transfer agreement focused on the co-development and distribution of the HERON® mobile mapping system.

Gexcel has a rich history spanning more than 10 years of proven fully-featured analysis software for LiDAR and imagery, compatible with all the LiDAR sensors of the main laser scanner manufacturers such as DotProduct, Faro, Geomax, Riegl, Stonex, Surestar, Teledyne-Optech, Topcon, Trimble, Velodyne, Z+F.

Gexcel is currently present on the market also with other innovative products (like the OPMMS – Open Pit Mine Monitoring System or the 3D-Forensics scanner) and it is at the forefront of the development of innovative solutions based on the laser scanner, SLAM, and digital photogrammetry along with several partners.
