The premier IEC 61850 USA 2021 draws together 100+ IEC 61850 pilot project and implementation leaders for a review of the latest IEC 61850 implementations within the US utility market. Supported by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) this meeting is chaired by Christoph Brunner, Convenor of IEC TC57 WG10, and showcases 12 x USA utility case-studies. Insights will be shared from both pilot projects and commercial deployments into lessons learned from the specification, design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of station bus and process bus architectures. Speakers will discuss how they are planning to drive the large-scale deployment of multi-vendor multi-edition IEC 61850 systems within their legacy and new substations as well as inter-substations, to the control center, and across DER infrastructure.
Alongside 12 x case-studies, the program will also consist of 3 x technology innovation presentations, 4 x live Q&A panel sessions, and a 90-minute roundtable discussion session, all in just one intensive high-value day.
