International Symposium on Applied Geoinformatics (ISAG2019), which will take place at the Yildiz Technical University, Davutpaşa Campus, Istanbul, Turkey, on November 7-9, 2019.

The symposium is organised with the aim of promoting the advancements in the field of Geoinformatics. In the event, you will explore the latest scientific and technological developments and opportunities which would help the Geoinformatics community to solve the many real-world challenges of today.

The International Symposium on Applied Geoinformatics (ISAG2019) will serve as a forum for participants across the globe to deliberate on the latest advancements in the field of Geoinformatics. The symposium is jointly organized by the Department of Geomatics Engineering, Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey and the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics, University of Latvia, Riga, Latvia.

The paradigm of geospatial information management is changing rapidly due to technological advancements in data acquisition, processing and storage. Innovative techniques need to be investigated to cope with increasing demand for highly accurate and reliable information acquisition from the earth’s surface which can be applied to counter various challenges such as global warming, urbanization, effective use of natural resources, environmental management. Furthermore, information for representing the built and human environment benefits widely from new technologies and innovative approaches. Therefore, this symposium will provide good opportunities for innovative knowledge exchange among researchers working in this domain.
