Turkey succeeded how in a short span of 8 years?
M .Ozkan: Satlab Geosolutions was founded in 2010 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Satlab has been aiming to provide high quality measurement solutions since its establishment and has determined the quality criteria accordingly. While designing and producing products, we always take customer experiences into consideration and listen to people who have continuous experience. Because of this policy of Satlab, the products are produced as revised products for the customers and taking into account the customer requests. Following the trends is actually becoming a phenomenon stemming from the needs of the users. However, while we follow the trends, we aim to provide the most optimal solutions together with the needs and thus our innovations are permanent. I think this is the most important feature that makes us us in the past 8 years.
Question: What kind of works are being done in the kitchen of SATLAB which makes innovative and user friendly production? Is there any surprise?
M.Özkan: 2018 was a year of innovation for Satlab. You can see more and wide range products in our booth this year. Satlab has been producing GNSS receivers since its inception, and at Intergeo 2018 we introduced three new models, SL200, SL700 and SL900. All of these products have RTK and CORS capacity. Another surprise is the optical products you see in our stand. In 2018, the management of Satlab Geosolutions decided to enter the optical product market and introduced the SLT1 total station without reflector, SDL1 digital nivo and SAL32 automatic nivo. All optical products have been developed for high quality and accuracy.
As I mentioned at the beginning of our speech, we call 2018 a year of innovation because the kitchen is in a very busy. This year, I think we also positively surprised users in the control unit and industrial tablet computer products. Android-based SHC30, Windows-based SL65 controllers and SL86 and SL11 industrial tablet computers are among our products. We are also working on unmanned aerial vehicles and this year we expanded our UAV product group with two new products. We offer a VTOL version of the SLA1 fixed wing UAV under the name SLA2. For multirotor needs, we offer the THANOS model with a useful load capacity of 7 kg. We can say that we have developed the THANOS model specially for our SUL1 air lidar, but you can use THANOS for orthophoto or oblique view. In other words, we provide solutions to all your projects with a single body.
In summary, this year we have come across users with 11 new products, but innovation is a dynamic concept and we will not stop To offer new products in 2019
What is the biggest cause of Turkish users prefer to satlab?
M.Ozkan: Our opinion about Turkey was always different because one of Satlab Geosolutions’s founder, as you well know, is a Turkish. So the price-quality balance our activities in Turkey, we have always had a lot of attention and we refer to as after-sales services; We have always prioritized training and technical support. We have reflected the natural advantages of being a manufacturer, especially keeping service and spare parts costs low. We often hear that users who experience this process are satisfied with our policies.
I think the success is that we need fundamental role of Satlab our offices, in Turkey and in other countries and give ear to the criticism of our users through our dealers. Taking into account their experience, we are working on them to create the most optimal product. Since we act with this mission, every user can find his own point in our products. When you manage to create this sense of belonging, you can become a permanent friend and not just a brand for your users.
